Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have passed Plus Two / 10+2 or equivalent with English as one subject.
  • Minimum of 40% marks from any recognized board.
  • Candidate belonging to SC/ST category with pass mark ar eligible for application.
  • Science group with Physics,Chemistry, Biology is preferable.
  • Must satisfy age and institutional admission norms.

Minimum Age

  • Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December 2017)

Mode of Admission:

  • Admission to Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery will be based on merit.
  • Merit is determined by the total marks secured in Part III optional subjects in the Plus Two (or equivalent) examination.
  • Candidates from the science group (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) are given preference.
  • If science group candidates are not available, candidates from other groups will also be considered.

Tie-breaking Criteria:

  • If there is a tie in total marks:
    • The candidate with higher marks in optional subjects will be ranked higher.
    • If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher marks in English at the Plus Two (or equivalent) examination will be ranked higher.
    • If there is still a tie, the candidate with higher total aggregate marks in Plus Two (or equivalent) will be ranked higher.
    • If the tie continues, ranking will be based on date of birth — the older candidate will be ranked higher.
